In May, the Caldwell Board of Trustees approved the selection of Tyler Harding as the next principal of Van Buren Elementary School starting the 2021-22 school year.

 

Mrs. Langan won't be going too far away -- as she joins the district office team as the Chief Academic Officer.

 

Mr. Harding is very excited to call Van Buren Elementary his new home - Go Bobcats!

Tyler has been in the Caldwell School District for 11 years: 5 as Art Teacher and 6 as Assistant Principal at Caldwell High.

 

He has served on leadership teams, was named department chair and led professional developments prior to taking a position as an administrator.

 

At his core, he is a teacher and believes in lifelong learning.

 

He is blessed to be a father of 4 elementary children and give his best to model lifelong learning for them every day: Tatum (11), Colton (9), Hudson (, and Hendrix (2). They are the joys of his life. Education is a high priority for Tyler and his family. His wife is an elementary teacher, and his sisters and mom are educators, too. Tyler is passionate about building support systems for teachers and making school a supportive and fun place to learn. As the principal of Van Buren, he intends to carry on the strong community of learners and continue to build a place where parents are proud to send their children.

 

Tyler holds a Masters in Educational Leadership degree from Northwest Nazarene University as well as an Art Education degree from Northwest Nazarene University.
