Candace Bilbrey
My name is Candace Bilbrey. I starting teaching in 2003 and have been at Van Buren since 2005. I am married to my first love and we have two amazing girls. I enjoy running and spending time with my family and friends. I also LOVE Disney. I love teaching kindergarten and making students feel loved and important. Every child is special and I am so grateful to start off their life long learning experiences.

Charlie Thornburg
I graduated from the College of Idaho with a Masters degree in 2022. After graduating, I began teaching at Van Buren. I enjoy coaching cheer, spending time with family, friends, and my dogs. I love teaching kindergarten because the kids grow so much, academically and emotionally their first year. I also get to build long lasting relationships with my students and their families.

Gwen Hogg
I love teaching at Van Buren! Kindergarten is the best. It is a fun place to learn. When I’m not at school I love spending time with my family. I have a husband, 3 daughters, 2 sons in laws, and 2 perfectly adorable grand daughters. We love spending time in the mountains and road trips, especially ones when we travel back to my hometown, Gettysburg, PA to see my family. I also enjoy Civil War History and family history/genealogy and riding a horse anytime I get the chance.. I think it is important to be a lifelong learner so keep dreaming, keep reading, and always do your best!
