Shylo Himes
Resource Para
I started working at Van Buren in September of 2021 as a migrant para. Shortly after, I moved positions to a resource room para. I am a former Van Buren Student. Both my mom and I work here together but in different positions. I have an older brother and a little brother. I enjoy drawing, games, and reading in my spare time. What I enjoy about being a para is being able to help students and be there for them. I try to be a person they can depend on. I love seeing that lightbulb moment when they finally understand what you are teaching. I just really enjoy being able to help kids the way that I do.
